How to apply

to clinical residency and postgraduate training of VSMU

Step 1. Admission Requirements

The applicant is considered eligible if he submits Diploma of Higher Medical Education.

Step 2. Items to be submitted

The applicants (foreign citizens) who would like to apply to clinical residency should submit the following documents by post:

1. The copy of Diploma of High Medical Education, including the list of subjects, grades (marks), translated into Russian language and legalized in accordance with an established order.

2. The copy of Birth certificate, Passport or other document (translated into Russian language and legalized in accordance with an established order).

On arrival to the Republic of Belarus the applicants submit the following documents (directly in the University):

• Application form

• Diploma (translation into Russian language is obligatory)

• Medical certificate

• Certificate about absence of  HIV infection

• Copy of legalized Birth certificate

• 6 photos (4*6)

Candidates applying to clinical residency pass the testing in Russian language and the interview. 

Step 3. Arrival

To exclude misunderstandings with frontier-guards services, please, notify your arrival beforehand, for us to be able to give notice to the staff of Consulate Office in airport.
It is strongly desirable that you arranged in advance the representative to meet you at the airport and accompany to the place of studies in Vitebsk.

Step 4. Enrolment

The decision on eligibility for matriculation to VSMU will be made on the bases of documents submitted and oral interview. After that an applicant concludes an individual contract with the University.

Step 5. Medical Insurance and check-up

Before the beginning of the academic year you will need to take a supplementary medical examination in the clinic of VSMU. It is not free of change and you will have to cover the expenses yourself. Also you will be required to sign a contract with one of the Insurance Companies and purchase an obligatory medical insurance policy (approx.85 USD per year)
